A Tale of Love and Cows in my Family

As I perused my office emails, the sound of my mom’s voice chatting with someone caught my attention. “Kitni patli ho gayi hai, kuch khilate nahi hai tujhe”, she remarked. Assuming a guest had arrived, I stepped out to extend my greetings. To my astonishment, I discovered that my mom was engrossed in conversation with a calf. The adorable creature was voraciously munching away, and it almost seemed as though she comprehended my mom’s words, responding in her own charming way.

She holds a special place in my mother’s heart, deemed the dearest among us four siblings. In our family, she is more than just a bovine companion; she is treated as the fifth child. Every morning, a small herd of three to four cows grace our home, with a few additional visitors in the evening. We take great pleasure in spending time outdoors, showering her with love and attention.
