Two Days in Mussoorie: Must-Visit Places & Travel Tips

Reaching Mussoorie on a local bus during peak season on a weekend sounds absolutely crazy—but we did it! Do I recommend it? No, not in a million years! 🙂

So, how can you plan a trip to Mussoorie? I’ll share all the details in this blog!

Mussoorie is a hill station in the Himalayan Range of Garhwal hills in Uttarakhand. It is also known as the Queen of Hills. It is one such place that has something for everyone -whether you are planning a honeymoon, a solo traveler, an adventure seeker, or a family planning vacation during summer vacations.

Before settling in Dharamshala, the Dalai Lama was first relocated to Mussoorie, where the first Tibetan school was established. Over time, many Tibetan families have made Mussoorie their home, and you can still see their influence throughout the town.

For a scenic road trip, drive or take a bus from nearby cities like Delhi, Chandigarh, or Haridwar.

Fly /take a train to Dehradun, then take a taxi or bus to Mussoorie.

First-time visitors should stay near Mall Road for convenience, while Landour offers a peaceful retreat.

Book in advance during peak season.

  • Old-School Ropeway to Gun Hill to see sunset with chai and pakora.
