Ramdara Temple in Loni Kalbhor: A Peaceful Escape Near Pune

Sometimes, the best kind of escapes are the ones that don’t need much planning and don’t involve getting stuck in traffic. As someone living in East Pune, I often look for short half-day trips where I can enjoy nature, breathe fresh air, and spend some quality time away from the city chaos. Ramdara Temple is one such peaceful retreat located just about 30 km from Pune.

We reached Ramdara around 11:00 am in the morning, and the first thing we did was treat ourselves to some hot, spicy vada pav at a small stall near the parking area.

Ramdhara, surrounded by greenery, a small lake, and stone pathways.

One can hike up the mountain beside the temple during the monsoon.

The temple is primarily dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Along with them, it also has idols of Nandi, Lord Ganesha Lord Vishnu, and Goddess Durga

Even the ducks gave it a nod 🙂

Absolutely beautiful!
