Many hikers prefer trekking during the monsoon and winter seasons, avoiding summer due to the assumption that it would be too hot and hiking might be difficult. I used to think the same. But is that true? Of course not!
If you’re looking for a summer hike in Maharashtra, you’ve come to the right place.
The Ramban Trail is a lesser-known route near the Koyna River in Koynanagar town. It is an easy-level hike, approximately 3 km one way. Visitors must obtain a pass from the Forest Department, as the trail passes through a protected forest area. There are hotels and resorts available, so you don’t need to worry about accommodation.
We started our journey from Pune on Friday night, stayed at a hotel, got some rest, and by the next morning, we were ready for the hike.
The sun is right above me, glaring down as if challenging me, making me wonder if this is really the right trail for summer.

Walking in a zigzag path, following the shade of the trees to escape the sun.

Walking on the trail, it’s slightly slippery due to dry leaves, but pheww no sun! 🙂

Tranquil silence of the forest, the only sounds were those created by us and

the rustling of the trees.

All I need in summer – lush greenery, a good trail, and water bottles in my bag.

Taking random breaks to soak it all in.

Detangle me ❤

The view ❤

When you have dense forests in Maharashtra, there’s no shortage of summer trails.

The water of the Koyna River is so clean, don’t forget to take a refreshing dip after the hike!
I hope you enjoyed reading the blog and viewing the photos. If you’ve explored any lesser-known trails during the summer, do share your experience!
